Aparrently they hadn't recorded that the FIA bar should have been welded in (replacement chassis in 6 weeks, haggled down to 2 weeks). They also failed to appreciate that when I asked for one front wishbone that I meant just the one and not one in addition to the set they already included in with the chassis.
So in my garage I now have 4 bonnets, 19 wishbones and some shoddy unmarked shocks that they've supplied instead of the Avos that I'm replacing. Grrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!
They also seem utterly unable to provide me with a manifest of what parts I should have, it was only after much asking they gave me a list of 3 items that were missng. Amusingly none of the missing items are actually things I gave a damn about.
Utter fsckwits is all I can say. So for the next week or two we'll be back over the strip-down diary.
On the upside I do appear to have a new MC, a full set of wings, brake pipes, aeroquips and some very nicely pre-drilled and cut ali panels. None of which I was expecting.
They also admitted that most of the factory cars were randomly bodged in unique and un-recorded ways. Having said that the current factory builds look extremely good.| Previous | Next |
