Tiger have submitted their car for sva approval and it has passed, they are also throwing in roll bars free as they provide the seat belt mounts needed to pass.
They have recommended that we consider having the carpets properly bound as they look a lot better and are only another £45. It also sounds as if the car will be undriveable without a shortened sump. Ho hum, I think we'll cross that hurdle (or speedbump) when we come to it.
We need to send our front suspension legs (struts) and the bottom part of the steering column back to them to be modified. I think we'll probably drop them off when we pick up the car.
Phoned up the bank and they've approved my loan extension so that I can pay Ian back for the inital £1800 or so. Whole loan requested and approved in the space of less that 4 hours. All I have to do is go into the local branch and fill in the forms. Well done Midland.
Had a good poke around the demonstrator, looked pretty good really. While we were loading Jim offered us some bodywork that they had already so that we could collect the rest of the bits in a car. Only problem was that it was red, unfinished and half of it was still sitting in the moulds. After some deep thought decided to go for it. The bodywork was pulled out of the moulds and we stood around for an hour or two while it was trimmed and tidied up.
Arrived back in Camby about 3:30 and started unloading, putting the chassis on axle stands and hiding the rest of the boxes away anywhere that we could find space.
